Liquorice & Mango Bites


Recipe Overview

A no-bake recipe that creates 10-15 squares depending on how big you cut them. Vegan & gluten free.


Liquorice and mango bites recipe



For the base:

  • 15-20 pitted dates
  • 200g sweet almonds
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1/2 tbsp. sweet liquorice syrup from Lakritsfabriken
For the topping:
  • 300g frozen mango
  • 1 can coconut milk (The creamier the better)
  • Liquorice granules from Lakritsfabriken (Optional)


  1. Line an 8 x 10 inch cake tin (Or loaf tin) with baking paper
  2. Pour all of the ingredients for the base into a food processor and blend until you get a smooth batter with a grainy consistency from the nut. Spread this in the lined baking sheet and freeze for 2 hours.
  3. Blend the mango and coconut milk s in a food processor, our over the base and freeze for two hours. If adding the liquorice granules, sprinkle over after the first 90 minutes.
  4. Store in the fridge. Slice and eat within three days.
