A traditional favourite, HARIBO Pontefract cakes are soft in texture with a mellow liquorice flavour and an aroma of molasses. This recipe has been enjoyed for over 250 years!
George Dunhill founded his company in the 1700s and was the first one to add sugar to the original Pontefract Cake recipe, creating the sweet we know today. Haribo to over Dunhills in the 1980’s and continues to produce them in Pontefract to this day.
