Product Description

The original variety of Toms Heksen/witches drop (Sometimes known as witches sticks or witches screams). They are made in Denmark but a firm favourite in the Netherlands.

Witch liquorice is a soft sweet liquorice tube with a salt ammonia fondant filling and dusted with fine sugar. This combination of sweet and salty has made the Toms brand famous throughout Northern Europe.

Suitable for vegetarians.

About Toms

Toms was founded in 1924 by two business partners, Trojel and Meyer. Their first product was pastilles in an elegant box. Victor B. Strand bought Toms in the 40's and made the company blossom after WW II. The success was driven by popular sellers, such as the Gold Bar (Guld Barre), chocolate turtles (Toms Kæmpe Skildpadde) and Yankie Bar. By the 1970’s they were one of the most widely recognised confectionery producers in Denmark.

Ingredients

Sugar, glucose-fructose syrup, cane sugar syrup, WHEAT flour, liquorice extract (3%), Salmiak salt (Ammonium chloride - 3%), modified corn and potato starch, fully hydrogenated vegetable fat (Palm kernel, coconut), thickener (Gum arabic), emulsifier (mono and diglycerides of fatty acids), moisture retainer (glycerol), salt, aroma.

Best salmiak out there

This is the best salmiak out there. It’s full of flavour and just salty enough and full liquorice flavour

Yummy!

I've never eaten a real witches finger before, but if they are as yummy as these licorice ones, I'm going to start chopping off hands left and right!

So good

These are sweeter than I would normally choose but they are so delicious it’s difficult to stop eating them. Great value bags of liquorice.
