Jelly Spogs, formerly known as Jelly buttons and also Horse Cakes. Soft and chewy aniseed-flavoured jellies covered in trademark pink and blue sugar balls. An English institution and a favourite part of Liquorice allsorts.
Barratt & Co. was established in London in 1848 by George Osborne Barratt. By 1906 it was the largest confectionery manufacturer in the world, employing 2,000 people and producing 350 tonnes of sweets a week.
Sugar, glucose syrup, maize starch, water, beef gelatine, aniseed oil, fruit and vegetable concentrates (Blackcurrant, carrot), plant concentrate (Spirulina).
